Monday 1st.Sept.
Truly, Damply, Gailey.
Rather a miserable morning
but that's boating for you!
Stop for
breakfast at Gailey & bins. Through a narrow cutting called Pendleford Rockin'
Then right at Autherley Junction on to the Shropshire Union Canal ,
lovingly referred to as the Shroppie. Stopping along this canal is a bit of a problem as, for some
reason, it was built with large boulders at the side preventing mooring but we
remember some visitor moorings past the Wolverhampton Boat Club &
fortunately there is room for us.
Best of all, finally saw a Kingfisher, not much of a shot but at 4mph with a 45mm on CSC, I'm well pleased! :)
Kingfisher has amazing colours!..
